Portraiture

A considered, natural portrait of every student, lit and composed with care rather than rushed through a production line. We photograph from nursery age upward, and we are patient with the ones who need a moment to settle.

Families view a private gallery afterwards and choose the frame, finish and size they would like.

Sibling Portraiture

Brothers and sisters photographed together, so a family has one portrait of all their children from the same year. A favourite with parents, and simple to order alongside the individual images.

Class & Group Photographs

The traditional class or year group, carefully staged and lit so that every face is clear and every student looks their best. We also photograph the smaller groups that make up a school: houses, prefects, choirs, ensembles and clubs.

Sports Teams

Team photographs with the kit, the trophies and the season captured properly, whether it is a first XI, a junior squad or a whole sports day. We work around fixtures and training so the session barely interrupts the day.

Informal & Ragged Groups

Not every group photograph needs to be formal. For senior year groups and leavers we also take relaxed, characterful pictures: the whole cohort together, friends piled onto a bench, fancy dress and all. These are the ones that end up on bedroom walls.

Graduation

The robed portrait, taken on the day a degree is conferred and delivered while the memory is fresh. We set up studios close to the ceremony so graduates walk straight from the hall to the camera, gown and hood correct, in a few unhurried minutes.

Matriculation

The photograph that marks the start rather than the end. Matriculation portraits and the full matriculation group, taken in the college or in front of a building that means something, and often kept for a lifetime alongside the graduation image.

Graduate & Family Portraits

Families travel a long way to be there, and the portrait of the graduate with the people who got them there is often the one that gets framed. We keep a few minutes aside for each family, on the lawn or by a favourite building.

Societies & Committees

The groups that fill the years between matriculation and graduation: the boat club at dawn, the drama society, the college teams, the committees and the common rooms. We photograph them formally or informally, whichever suits the group.

College & Hall Groups

The whole college, hall or department in a single photograph, arranged on the steps or in the quad and finished to archival standard. A fixture of the year for many institutions, and a record that grows more valuable with time.

Informal & Ragged Groups

Relaxed, often riotous group photographs for colleges, halls and courses: everyone in costume, piled together, having fun. We are comfortable with the chaos and quick enough to get a usable frame before it falls apart.
